Guided hiking on the Sörmlandsleden – experience Sweden beyond the trail
Forests, lakes, Baltic coastline and small Swedish towns: this active group trip lets you experience Sörmland from more than one perspective. Hiking is combined with kayaking, orienteering and personal insight into Swedish nature and culture, while your main luggage is transferred.
Active and challenging – but not alpine
This is not a casual walking holiday. Fitness, sure-footedness and hiking technique matter on varied natural surfaces such as forest floor, rock, roots and boardwalks. There is no major elevation gain. The challenge comes from consecutive active days and natural terrain rather than long climbs. The changing surface avoids long hard-surface sections and can feel comparatively knee-friendly.
More than hiking: kayaking and orienteering
Water and woodland define Sörmland. Kayaking adds a view from the water, while orienteering brings map, compass and terrain together – a Scandinavian outdoor tradition.
Discover Swedish nature and culture
Local guidance adds context to landscape, wildlife, culture and everyday life. Typical Swedish food is part of the experience too.

What guests say
"The tour in Sweden was a perfect chance for us to learn about Sweden's nature". We hiked along the Sörmlandsleden for 5 days with Claudia and Tomas and learn a lot about Sweden, its people, animals and culture. Every morning, after a great breakfast in the hotel, we immediately "entered" teh fores and hiked through various fascinating areas, through rocks, deepest forest, villages, swamps, hills and valleys - everything you can think of. For lunch we ate meals prepared partially over open fire, often in the middle of the forest. We also learned to start a fire by ourselves with the help of a knife and a flintstone. On some days we could take a bath in a lake or the Baltic sea while Claudia and Tomas prepared a tasty, typical Swedish lunch as well as coffee over the open fire... The hotels were chosen nicely and we felt great just everywhere. We can only recommend this tour with Claudia and Tomas for everybody who is interested in Sweden's nature and keen on hiking. Thanks for the great days - Claudia and Tomas clear set a very high bar!" Anke Z. August 2025
