Hiking holidays in Sweden and the Alps, chosen to suit you
Welcome to Sörmland Outdoor. Our hiking holidays take you from Sweden’s forests and lakes to mountain paths in the Alps. We choose each route with care and make sure the arrangements suit the journey. That leaves room to enjoy the landscape, the walking and the people you meet. Whether you travel solo, with friends or as a couple, we can help you find a trip that matches your experience and preferences. Some journeys are guided; others let you walk independently.
Sweden: Sörmlandsleden and Kungsleden
Sweden
Our two hiking holidays in Sweden reveal very different landscapes. On the Sörmlandsleden, south of Stockholm, you walk through woodland and past lakes and the coast, with hotels and luggage transfer. The guided Kungsleden trek takes you into the open fells of Swedish Lapland, where you carry your own pack and stay in simple mountain cabins. Read the individual tour pages to compare their routes, accommodation and demands. Our Sweden overview will bring both trips together when the English page is published.
The Alps: E5 crossings, Austria and the Dolomites
Our Alpine programme includes E5 crossings, hiking holidays in Austria and guided Dolomites hut treks. Alongside familiar routes, we have chosen quieter paths worth discovering. Some trips include luggage transfer; others lead from hut to hut or can be walked independently. The accommodation and level of challenge depend on the tour. Browse all our hiking tours in the Alps for an overview.
Trips selected with care, people you can reach
We choose routes and partners carefully. Our Alpine partners are Bergschule Kleinwalsertal and Globo Alpin. We work with people whose standards for guest support, reliable organisation and respect for nature and local communities match ours. Between us, we have roots in Germany and Sweden and speak German, Swedish, English, Italian, Danish and Norwegian. That helps us understand your questions and remain personally reachable before and during the trip. Read about Claudia and Tomas.
Our approach: sharing the journey
Some guests arrive on their own; others travel with a partner or friends. Our guided groups offer the chance to share the day’s walk, conversations and evenings in a relaxed setting. Certain Alpine routes can also be walked independently. What matters to us is helping you choose a journey that feels right for you and preparing you well for it.
Talk through your plans
Tell us where you would like to walk, what kind of terrain you enjoy and what matters to you in your accommodation. We will help you choose a tour that suits your plans and walking experience. Ask us about a trip or call Claudia or Tomas.

Our philosophy
Every landscape tells its own story. That’s why we don’t offer ‘off-the-shelf’ trips, but carefully selected tours that bring people and regions together. Some trips are guided, others are self-guided – what they all have in common is the joy of hiking and consciously experiencing nature.
